![]() In 1999, Paul Berger & Associates designed the workspace of The Arbitrage Group, a technologically sophisticated trading company, and relocated them to 230 South LaSalle Street. Our challenge was to take a 21st century company and transplant it into an early 20th century building without creating down time or restricting company operations. PBA took careful consideration planning and designing the space to accommodate the highly technical requirements needed to generate a trading facility. This includes a 9,000 square foot computer room, a fast-paced trading area and a help desk linked to the trading center for uninterrupted technical support. This required the installation of fiber optics, T-1 lines and a complex data/telecommunications system; coordination of all data feeds was extremely important to achieve full functionality. Despite this expeditious pace and the pressure and stress of the ever-changing trading market, the atmosphere PBA created is comfortable and pleasing, as well as technically advanced. Careful consideration to lighting levels, acoustics and the ability to adjust the furniture were key factors needed to reach this level of comfort. In addition, PBA's design allowed for the inevitable growth of the company. Copyright 2002 Paul Berger & Associates Website Design by Shannon Burch
